The Brooklyn Nets have heavy expectations to win a championship this season due to their superstar trio.

While Nets newcomer James Harden is out of action right now, he is optimistic he will be back before the postseason.

Harden, 31, was shipped from the Houston Rockets to the Nets in a blockbuster deal earlier this year.

The veteran is collecting 25.4 points, 11.0 assists, 8.7 boards and 1.3 steals per game in a Nets uniform this season. He has started in 34 games for the Nets.

However, he hasn’t had much playing time next to All-Stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving due to his recent hamstring injury. The trio is anticipated to wreck havoc in the playoffs.

In Harden’s absence, the Nets dropped back-to-back contests against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Nets hold a 43-23 record this season and are the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Nets take on the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.
