For the last several months, former All-Star guard Victor Oladipo had wanted to be traded by the Indiana Pacers. In fact, he reportedly turned down a very generous contract extension offer from Indy.

Not too long ago, Oladipo was a premier guard who was known for his elite explosiveness and speed. He was named to an All-Star in 2018 and ’19.

However, he suffered a serious quad injury and was forced to miss almost an entire calendar year as a result.

Since returning to game action last season, Oladipo hasn’t really regained his old form, especially in terms of his offensive efficiency.

On Wednesday, he was traded by the Pacers to the Houston Rockets in the multi-team mega trade that sent disgruntled superstar James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets.

Reportedly, he already wants out of Houston, and he may be the Rockets’ only significant trade asset if they wish to rebuild on the fly rather than go through a long rebuilding process.
