A shakeup in the shoe world could be coming with reports that Master P and former NBA star Baron Davis are in talks to buy Reebok.

Since 2005, Reebok has been owned by Adidas, which purchased the company for a reported $3.8 billion. Earlier this month, Adidas had announced that it was considering plans to sell its subsidiary shoe company.

Exactly how much the asking price for the company is is uncertain, but it seems likely that Master P and Davis are part of a group of businessmen forming together to make this particular purchase.

The comment by Master P about shoe companies making money off of African-Americans is based on the strong majority of players in the NBA, colleges and high schools that compete in the sport of basketball.
