New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson was not happy with his 15 minutes of playing time against the Utah Jazz on Thursday night.

During an episode of the “Dan Patrick Show,” TNT sideline reporter Chris Haynes revealed that Williamson badly wanted to play during the contest.

“Zion was pissed,” Haynes reported. “Like he wanted to play.”

The Pelicans selected Williamson with the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Although Williamson had some of the highest expectations coming into the league since superstar LeBron James, he started off his NBA career with a big injury setback.

In October, the youngster suffered a knee injury, which led him to have arthroscopic surgery on a torn right lateral meniscus. He ended up playing in 19 games before the novel coronavirus halted the 2019-20 campaign.

During that batch of games, the Duke University product showed his potential by averaging 23.6 points, 6.8 boards and 2.2 assists per game.

Now, he’s looking to help the Pelicans attain a playoff spot. The Pelicans lost their first game of the season resumption to the Jazz by a close score of 106-104.

Williamson put up 13 points in the losing effort.
