Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid recently said that he would tell Ben Simmons he’s “disappointed” if he got the chance to speak with him again.

Embiid went on to explain that he’s upset that the team hasn’t “won anything.”

Embiid’s relationship with Simmons has seemingly crumbled throughout the offseason, as Simmons has distanced himself from the organization.

There is a lot of uncertainty regarding Simmons’ future, but the former first-round pick has made it abundantly clear that he doesn’t plan to play for Philadelphia ever again. The Sixers, who haven’t been able to find a deal they like for the three-time All-Star, are in a pickle.

Simmons averaged 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game in the 2020-21 season and added some stellar defense. He’s undoubtedly a valuable player despite some of his flaws.

Embiid is one of the best centers in basketball, and it’ll be interesting to see how he performs in the upcoming season given everything that has unfolded. The Sixers are still hoping to contend for a title despite their rocky offseason.
