Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr responded to Joey Bosa’s recent comments about him on Wednesday.

Bosa’s remarks were made after the Los Angeles Chargers defeated the Raiders 28-14 on Monday night. Carr indicated that Bosa’s provocation might have been the result of Carr trash-talking him during the game.

“I don’t think he watched the game in the same order I did,” Carr said of Bosa. “I think he was just trying to get under my skin, which he did piss me off. … He’s probably mad because I was talking a lot of crap to him during the game. It was an emotional day for them.”

In that Raiders loss, Carr was sacked four times and was held to 196 passing yards, which led Bosa to deliver his postgame criticism. Bosa himself sacked Carr one time during the game.

Even though the two players offered praise for each other, Carr admitted that Bosa’s comments were aggravating.

“It pissed me off, but that’s not a bad thing either,” Carr said. “I love Joey. He knows that. We’ve gone back and forth, talking crap. He’s entitled to his opinion. We’ll see them again.”

The Raiders and Chargers will meet again during the final week of the regular season. That contest may have plenty riding on it, which would no doubt cause Carr and Bosa to focus more on the game and not past comments.
