Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic backed his teammate Damian Lillard after the Blazers defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 124-121 on Sunday night.

Lillard and Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George got into it on Saturday, exchanging jabs over social media.

Nurkic showed his support for Lillard and took a shot at George in the process, mimicking the Clippers star and his quotes about Lillard taking bad shots.

Lillard responded in a big way in Sunday’s game after missing two clutch free throws in a loss to the Clippers on Saturday.

Lillard had started talking trash to Clippers guard Patrick Beverley earlier in that game, but Beverley got the last laugh when Lillard missed two key free throws with just 18.6 seconds left in the game.

However, Lillard’s 51 points on Sunday kept the Blazers’ season alive as they continue to make a run at the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference.

The beef between Lillard and George remains somewhat unsettled, especially after family members exchanged cheap shots over social media.

Lillard and the Blazers are focused on making the NBA playoffs, with their next matchup coming on Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks.
